Voltage Controlled Slew Limiter

Up to this point I've been using an Envelope Generator which is based on Moritz Klein's design, however; there's been a number of situations where I really wished I had CV control over the rise and fall time. When I saw that Kassutronics had a design for a Slew Limiter which could double as an Envelope Generator, I knew that this would find a place in my rack at some point.

This dual-purpose module can function as either a voltage controlled slew limiter, which accepts CV through the input jack and replaces any abrupt steps in voltage which smoothed ramps which are set based on the Rise and Fall controls, or the control voltage at the Rise CV and Fall CV jacks. The module also works as an envelope generator, and it outputs an attack, sustain, release envelope (it lacks a specific control for the decay portion and uses release for both functions) when a pulse is received at the Gate input jack.

In addition to controls for the rise and fall rate, there are controls for the rise and fall shape which can alter the rise and fall behavior from linear to either an increasing or decreasing exponential curve. There is also a loop switch which effectively turns the module into a bit of an LFO (again with independent control of the rise and fall times).

In terms of outputs, in addition to the slewed output there are also a couple of logic outputs: one is an end of rise signal which goes high once the signal begins falling, and an end of cycle signal which goes high when the fall stage has finished.

When I was building this module, I struggled to read the connections for the potentiometers so I decided to add jumpers on the back of the module so I could easily reverse the direction of the potentiometers after I built the module. Now that I know which way everything works, I could omit these jumpers in future builds.
